Custom Portfolio
Advice section provides two different portfolio establishment methods:
- model portfolio mode
- custom portfolio mode
Both portfolio modes may be used as a stand alone solution or be combined in the advisory flow.
Custom portfolio mode functionality provides greater flexibility for tenants to define advisor's rights to:
- deviate from the risk level
- deviate from the model portfolio
- deviate from asset class allocation
- set advisor rights to add, remove, and replace asset classes and specific financial instruments.
Enhanced user experience makes it easy to navigate and efficiently create new custom portfolios.
Custom portfolio set-up is divided into two steps - defining asset allocation and selecting instruments based on defined asset classes. The tenant can decide among other settings, f.e. which portfolio mode is the default mode, whether or not risk based model portfolio will set a starting point for a custom portfolio, and whether or not model portfolio asset allocation will remain as a comparison element custom portfolio. When selecting instruments it is possible to use sustainability, preference criteria and product attributes to make sure that instruments are well aligned with users sustainability preferences.
Tenants who do not operate with model portfolios will be able to define asset classes and fund allocation from a blank start. Tenants who do not allow advisors to deviation from default model portfolio's asset class allocation will see the risk selector drop-down element or fixed risk level depending on the preference.
Feature accessibility: Please contact Global Delivery Manager to benefit from this functionality and configure the solution according to your needs.
A custom set of product attributes can be presented in advisory sessions to assist the advisor in building portfolios in the custom portfolio mode.Deep Alpha enables defining up to ten custom attributes per instrument, with five attributes being configurable as text or numerical value, and the remaining 5 as true or false value. Custom product attributes must be defined within the investment universe. The attributes are displayed on the "Advisory" page in the custom portfolio mode under the "Fund Allocation" tab.
Instrument data and scoring for granulation based questions
Sustainability scores for instruments in the custom portfolio indicate whether the instrument's score is over or under the investor's desired sustainability performance. If under, then the instrument's score is red, if over, then the instrument's score is green. It is likely that investors do not have a preference for sustainability. This can happen in the following scenarios: - The investor answers with "no" to the sustainability overall question. - The investor answers with "undecided" to the granulation question, which in the model gives a score of 0. In that case, sustainability data in the custom portfolio is presented with the neutral interface text color.
There are three modes available for editing the values of a custom portfolio:
- Percentage
- Amount - based on initial deposit
- Amount - based on monthly saving
Portfolios in custom portfolio are always stored in % and it is required to have monthly saving and initial deposit following the same weights.
